Psoas Release Yoga Therapy Teacher Training

Psoas Release Yoga Therapy Certification

With Dave Berceli and Jeff Martens September 25th-26th and October 30-31st

For yoga teachers, teacher trainers and or therapists who are teachers and want to teach psoas release yoga classes. (this class may be taken for CEUs for Yoga Teachers)

Psoas Releasing Yoga marries the ancient practice of yoga with the modern discovery of Trauma Releasing Exercises as discovered by Dave Berceli.  Psoas Releasing Yoga is a sequence of asanas (postures) designed to facilitate natural healing culminating with psoas-releasing tremors.  Those who complete this special initial workshop will be certified to teach Psoas Releasing Yoga in yoga classes to the public.
Our consciousness unifies several bodies including the physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual.  These bodies are tuned to naturally pulse together  in tune with grace and harmony. When faced with intense stress or trauma, our consciousness can become agitated and these bodies seek their natural healing balance through several natural techniques including tremor or shaking.  Learn how to use yoga asanas, pranayama (breath awareness), Dharana (focus) and psoas release to realign the rhythm of life in yourself and others.

Eligibility: Due to the nature of this training, these workshops are open to current yoga teachers, therapists (who are yoga teacher certified), graduates of teacher training certification courses and current teacher trainers.  Experienced students may be admitted with permission (for their own development).  These workshop hours may be applied to the 200 hour Healing Emphasis Yoga Therapy Teacher Training.  Class size is limited.

Graduation Requirements: To become certified to teach HEY: Psoas Release Yoga Therapy, all students must attend at least FIVE HEY yoga classes at Inner Vision Yoga before October 29th.  Acceptable classes are Monday at 5pm Tempe (HEY), Tuesday at 1:30 PM Tempe (HEY Psoas Releasing Yoga) or Friday at 1:30 PM Chandler (HEY Psoas Releasing Yoga).  These classes may be purchased separately at a special price when you pay your tuition.

All students must purchase and read the required texts before class.  Texts are: Frequency: The Power of Personal Vibration by Penney Peirce;  Anatomy Coloring Book, The (3rd Edition) by WynnKapit and Lawrence M. Elson; Trauma Releasing Exercises by David Berceli; Any copy of the Yoga Sutra by Patanjali that has Sanskrit wording included (You will be provided with a link to a free download); Essays by Jeff Martens available online.

Karma comes from the the Sanskrit root “kri” which means to act or create.  Action (vibration) is the basis of all form when it flows freely from one moment to the next.  Karma causes us to hold on to old energy, limiting or restricting the flow of life within and around us.  Learn how our thoughts can cause us to identify with the past and why we hold on in yogic terms.  Includes Psoas Releasing Yoga class.  Text: Any translation of the Yoga Sutra that also shows the Sanskrit translations word for word; Essay: How I spent my Summer Vacation by Jeff Martens
